(More customer reviews)I put these air lift 1000s in the rear of a Ford Windstar according to directions to aid in pulling a popup camper. They worked great the first summer, keeping both my tow vehicle and the camper nice and level. This summer only one will inflate, even though they are installed on a T-type hose. Huh?! The one that does still inflate leaks empty after about a minute. What a joke, and a waste of money. These cost too much money to get only one season out of, so back to crawling under my vehicle to trouble-shoot possible kinks and leaks...very aggravating. So I jack up the van and figure out that on one side the little black hose became kinked and developed a slow leak at the kink (hence one side would temporarily inflate until the air leaked out of the kink hole). I re-cut the hose and attach again, inflate and I'm good to go. Unfortunately, after a cross country trip, a new leak developed apparently while driving. The resulting lack of suspension resulted in my safety chains on the pop-up trailer almost being "sanded" off while driving down the interstate (at least until I noticed and made a pit stop). These are great in theory, but I spend too much time fixing leaks to make them worth the trouble. If I had to do it again, I would simply have put stiffer shocks in the rear of the Windstar. They would've cost much more, but they would also probably work.
