(More customer reviews)I own a 2000 town and country, limited... it has rear lines behind the axle running beside the chassis frame. Therefore, using the supplied bracket was impossible unless the lines were moved.. That was not an option... i bought these knowing i would have to MODIFY something to get these air springs to work.. Well, good old Yankee ingenuity paid off ! There is a small flat platform at each end of my axle... once drilled out, i could bring the air intake through it, after cutting away a bit of plastic on the springs... then, my chassis rail was directly above... i used the lower plate above and drilled and bolted it giving me a solid place to anchor the lift.. mind you, this is mounted upside down, but still works PERFECT !!! If you have a good drill, big sharp bits, a cut off tool or grinder, you too can modify this system for your van with rear lines... Anyone that would like me to send actual pictures of my modification, send me a line. BTW... these are MUCH better than the Gabriel air shocks that Amazon said would fit my van... They DID NOT !!! The bolt knuckles were too small making shocks contact the chassis ! My trailer hitch was originally 7.5" off the ground.. now, after install, the hitch is 11.5 inches off the ground ! Looks like a race rod too !
This was NOT an easy job... the thinking took a while, and the install took me about 4 hours.. An air gun helps big time .. drop the lower shock bolt for drill room..... Good luck !
